About Me:

My background:

I was born July 26, 1980 in Butler , PA.  My love for history began at the age of ten, when my family and I began reenacting the French and Indian War and the American Revolution in Western Pennsylvania.   It was then, when my summer hobby soon transformed into a thundering passion. For almost twenty years I spent researching the time period through first hand letters and journals, learning how everyday people during the eighteenth century spoke and interacted. Then in 2002, my first historical fiction novel Bloody Circles of War was published by Publish America .   Now once again, I have taken you for another journey into the forgotten history of our nation with Come Hither.

The story behind my love of history:

Since 1990, My family and I have belonged to a living history group called Captain William Trent's Company.  A second family to me, this unit represents every part of how eighteenth century is portrayed.  With mostly members from the Western Pennsylvania region, check our company website listed at Favorite Links on this page.

"The People in this Town began to inquire my Business, and because I did not readily inform them, they began to suspect me, and said, that I was come to settle the Indian's Land and they knew I should never go Home again Safe." -Christopher Gist November 25, 1750

"Who would have thought it?"-General Edward Braddock July 9, 1755
